Kaziranga National Park, Assam

Kaziranga National Park is situated partly in Golaghat District and partly in Nagaon District of Assam. The park is spread in an area of 430 sq km. Situated in the heart of the state, it is yet not disturbed by humans. It is globally famous for the park is brimming with world's largest population of one-horned Rhino. Wildlife enthusiasts can easily spot Indian Rhino during their wildlife tour to Park.

Kaziranga Tiger Reserve is homeland to high density of Indian tigers. Wildlife lovers can easily encounter this ferocious beast in their natural habitat. Herd of elephants can be seen while traveling deep inside the forest in open grounds. The most fascinating wildlife species of Kaziranga wildlife sanctuary is one-horned rhino. The other animal species found in the park includes panthers, bears, snakes, monitor lizard etc. and numerous avian species.

Elephant Safari 
Kaziranga forest department does not provide the facility of jeep safari therefore, the tourist have to arrange their own vehicle to travel deep into forest. The other best way to get a glimpse of varied wildlife species is elephant. Ride on a giant animal is an enthralling experience that delights every tourist.


Best time to visit 
The best time to visit Kaziranga National Park is from mid-November to early April.

Accommodation at Kaziranga National Park 
Enjoy comfortable stay at forest lodges. Four tourist lodges are available at Kohora, Three tourist lodges built inside the park complex are maintained by the Department of Environment and Forests, Assam, which provides accommodation to the visitors.
